Community Sites Offer Opportunities To Get Involved | Community Spirit

You've obviously found our new community websites, but there are ways you can get involved in these sites by contributing information, news tips and more.

"There are so many stories that aren’t being told," said WISC-TV news director Colin Benedict. "We see this project as a way to bring out more community news and information, and let the community be a big part of leading that conversation."

In addition to contributors from journalists, the websites will also offer the opportunity for community members to contribute and voice their opinions. They can submit stories, information, photos or videos and become part of the newsgathering process.

"News is no longer a one-way broadcast," said Benedict. "We believe in the value of conversation and we hope these sites give the community a chance to talk neighbor-to-neighbor."
