Save Lives, Enjoy Day At Ballpark | Community Spirit

The America Red Cross and the Madison Mallards are teaming up on Monday, July 19 to help save lives this summer.

Area residents are invited to join Maynard G. Mallard at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center for the first-ever Madison Mallards Blood Drive from noon to 6 p.m. at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center.

The first 50 presenting donors with an appointment will receive a Mallards Duck Blind voucher good for the 2010 regular season.

In addition, the first 10 presenting walk-in donors will receive a voucher for a free bleacher seat at a single game during the 2010 regular season.

"This is a great opportunity to thank our dedicated donors and give them the opportunity to see their hometown team in action," said Greg Novinska, CEO of the American Red Cross Badger-Hawkeye Blood Services Region. "The summer can be a difficult time for people to donate blood because of vacations and other activities, so we’re hoping for a great turnout on July 19 to help boost the blood supply."
