2nd annual dance will feature music, munchies
Madison Parks will host its second annual daddy-daughter Valentine’s dance, on Feb. 9.
Parks Department coordinator Ann Whisner said the first dance, held last year, went off well. Now the department is planning a similar event just before Valentine’s Day from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center.
Superintendent of the Madison Parks Division, Kevin Briski said the dance gives fathers (or adult loved ones) and their daughters a chance to spend quality time together.
“This event is a fun for both dads and daughters and will be something that both will look back at fondly in the future,” Briski said.
Daddy-daughter duos will have the opportunity to show off their dance moves to music played by a live DJ, play games and enjoy cake and punch.
Party-goers can have their picture taken together to take as a memento of the night, too.
The event will be held at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center on the north side.
In order to participate, daddy-daughter duos need to purchase tickets ahead of time through Warner Park Community Recreation Center.
Tickets are available over the phone 608-245-3690, extension 0, or in person during Warner rec center’s hours of operation. Tickets will be sold through Feb. 7, planners said. Tickets are $15 per couple and $5 for each additional daughter.
