Tenney Park hours extended for Labor Day weekend | Community Spirit

The Tenney Lock will have extended hours for Labor Day weekend, Dane County Parks said.

The extended hours for Friday and Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, are from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.  Extended hours for Sept. 3 are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

On Sunday, Sept. 2, the Lights on the Lake Festival will extend hours even later, until midnight.  The event includes a Venetian night boat parade and fireworks on Lake Mendota.

The boat parade will begin at 7:35 p.m. It will start at Maple Bluff Beach and travel towards the UW Memorial Union.  Fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m. between the Edgewater Hotel and the UW Memorial Union.
