Police: Database connects pawned PlayStation, burglary | Crime
Police said investigators were able to connect a Madison man to gaming equipment stolen from a north side Madison home last month.
The Madison Police Department said 23-year-old Travis Pollock was charged with theft and taken into custody on a probation hold Thursday.
According to the report, a PlayStation 3 and several games were stolen from a house on the 1500 block of Troy Drive Nov. 21 at about 7:30 a.m.
Police said the victim provided a serial number for the PlayStation, which an investigator ran through software that tracks pawned merchandise and found the system at an east side Madison shop.
The victims were a 26-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both of Madison, police said.
