Dane County Job Center To Host Community Job Fair | News

Twenty-nine Dane County employers are taking part in a Community Job Fair on Wednesday.

The fair, which is hosted by the Department of Workforce Development, will be held at the Dane County Job Center at 1819 Aberg Ave.

Employment and Training Division Administrator Jane Pawasarat will meet job seekers and employers with jobs to fill at 10 a.m.

With 29 employers participating, this will be the largest job fair in the nearly 18 years at the Dane County Job Center.

Employers include American Family Insurance, Charter Communications, Independent Transport, Kwik Trip, Service Express, The Bruce Company and University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics.

Throughout September, which is Workforce Development month, DWD and its regional partners are highlighting programs and services that empower and support Wisconsin’s workforce.

Events will include third anniversary celebrations of DWD's online employment site, JobCenterofWisconsin.Com, which was launched in September 2008 and recently had a record 34,000 job postings.
