Madison police are searching for a homicide suspect believed to be armed after a stabbing at a north side home.
Police told WISC-TV they were called to a home in the 500 block of Waxwing Way just after 9:30 p.m. last night. �Emergency medical services personnel were unable to revive the victim, who was suffering from multiple stabbing wounds. �He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Matthew O'Dell, 25, is being called a suspect in the case, and police are actively searching for him. �Madison police told WISC-TV they know the weapon used and the motive for the stabbing but are not announcing it�publicly�at this time. �They do no believe it was a random act. �
"We responded here for a stabbing and that is what I want the public to be aware of," said a Madison Police spokesman at the scene. �"This individual we want to talk to in relation to this crime should be treated as armed and dangerous."
