Madison woman arrested after fight
News

A Madison woman is in custody after an Aug. 15 altercation on Madison's north side, police said.

Tanisha Johnson, 24, was arrested on charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.

Johnson said she was upset over a $27 phone bill that was owed to her, which led to a physical fight between Johnson and another woman in the 3700 block of Karstens Drive.

According to Madison police, after the physical fight was over, Johnson got into her vehicle and revved her engine in an apparent attempt to strike the victim and two other women in a nearby parking lot. Two of the women were holding infants at the time. No one was injured.

Johnson left the scene and was contacted by Madison police, but would not turn herself in without speaking to her attorney.

Six days later, officers took Johnson into custody due to a probation and parole intervention by Johnson's parole agent.

Johnson said she had no intentions of hurting anyone, according to the incident report.
