Madison College To Host Spay Day Event | Pets
More than 100 free-roaming cats from the Dane County area will be spayed and neutered at Madison Area Technical College on Saturday, Feb. 11.
The event helps to manage the feral cat population and provides valuable training for veterinary technician students at Madison College.
"The hands-on experience the students are receiving during the event is invaluable," said Dr. Clarissa Sheldon, an instructor at Madison College, in a news release. "It prepares them to be not only more skilled performing veterinary procedures, but also more compassionate veterinary professionals."
The event is sponsored by the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association and organized by the Dane County Friends of Ferals.
